NOTD: Gradient nails using Born pretty store nail polish (Nail Art)

NOTD: Gradient nails using Born pretty store nail polish (Nail Art)

Hey “BD beauties”!

It’s been a crazy amount of time since I did an NOTD post so today I thought I do one featuring my new favorite nail polish set from bornprettystore that I reviewed yesterday. You can check the review HERE. The set featured 4 shades of peaches and pinks and the nails I featured in the post was a peach shade. Since I was already having the color on my nails I thought I had to turn it into a fun nail art.

For this I used tape, nail art rhinestones and a variety of nail polishes as pictured below. For my pointer finger I used tape to half of my nail diagonally and painted the uncovered area with a hot pink nail polish shade. At the separation i pasted a few pink rhinestones.

NOTD: Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish in Royal and Top coat in Stunning

NOTD: Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish in Royal and Top coat in Stunning

Hey “BD beauties”!

On my Nails today, I’m wearing a True Royal blue shade from Revlon called ‘Royal’ and added a glitter top coat for the tips blended downwards. Although I personally love Revlon nail paints the top speed line seems to chip quite faster. This particular royal blue shade looks lovely on medium skin tones so since the chipping started I topped the tips with this top coat from Revlon called stunning which is really stunning as its name.

It’s time for an NOTD post and today I wanted to experiment with glitter (cosmetic grade) that I received from bornprettystore.com that I reviewed HERE. It’s actually glitter for your eye makeup but I really wanted to try glitter nails and these were the only ones I had so had to try these. For the base nail colour i used the NYX living a dream nail polish set.

NOTD: Holiday/ Christmas nail art/ Easy nail designs

NOTD: Holiday/ Christmas nail art/ Easy nail designs

Hey “BD beauties”!

Nail art need not be done just on acrylic nails it’s possible on your natural nails too. Easy nail designs are getting more and more popular on the net just because people want to do their nails at home rather than spend a ton at manicurists. Fashion nails are quite popular especially during the holiday season and what better way to do rather than include Christmas tree nail art?

Since its Christmas tomorrow all of you celebrating would definitely be online searching for inspiration for your holiday manicure so I though this would be the perfect time to do one for you guys. This nail art didn’t have any planning or anything I just aced it and this is what I came up with. Of course you can make all your nails look similar but I really wanted to try something with variety. Hope this helps.

It’s been so freaking long since I did an NOTD post just because it’s been ages since I wore any nail polish. This week I have been wearing a Revlon nail polish named ‘Royal cloak’ which is dark purple shade with silver specs. It’s lovely for the cold weather and goes well with darker shades of clothing. The Revlon nail polishes usually start chipping on me after 3 days of wear especially without any base coat on. A detail review will be up on the blog soon!

NOTD: Dark Purple nails with Accent

NOTD: Dark Purple nails with Accent

Hey “BD beauties”!

Felt like playing around with nail polishes again so that means i have another NOTD for you all! I recently posted a picture of my nails on my instagram. I wanted to try out a few fun top coats so i used a base of an eggplant dark purple shade and topped off my accent finger with a fun top coat. I’m very sloppy with dark nail polishes so don’t mind that :)

NOTD: Gradient Nails!

Hey “BD beauties”!

How are all you doing?? Missed blogging for a bit but back today with an NOTD! It’s been quite some time since i did one so was really excited for one. This was a totally random one but I loved how it turned out! For this look I used a white base from cover girl and did a gradient with a sponge using pinks and purples from my nyx living the dream nail polish set (great set for nail art lovers). I also added a few rhinestones coordinated with the colours in the gradient on my pointer finger. The look is best when topped off with a top coat but mine ran out trying to coat all my eBay jewellery :P

NOTD: NYX girls nail polish in shade 'Bella'

Hey “BD beauties”!

This is a quick NOTD post and on my nails I’m wearing NYX girls nail polish in the shade Bella! I think it’s a well suited name for a pale soft pastel pink shade like this. This particular shade is very sheer so I assume it’s meant for purposes like a French manicure! Anyhow I love this shade and the finish of it. It makes your nails look naturally healthy! Enjoy the pics ;)

NOTD: NYX girls nail polish in the shade Beige on caffeine

Hey “BD beauties”!

I recently got my products sent by the company Blanc to noir for review and I couldn’t resist trying the nail polishes I got from the NYX girls collection. The one I tried today is a shade called Beige on caffeine which is a glittery mocha shade. The shade is very festive and will suite anyone. It needed 2 coats to get opaque and it dried pretty quickly compared to Revlon’s nail varnishes.
However, the most hectic part was trying to remove them. For some reason the glittery ones take forever to come off and it’s really frustrating. Anyone suggests any particular methods? Anyways enjoy the pictures! :)

NOTD: Revlon nail varnish in no.100 Touch of Mauve

Hey “BD beauties”!

I recently got a Revlon nail polish and hauled it HERE. I got it assuming it would be a total lilac shade but it seems like a soft rosy shade with hints of lilac in it and is a natural looking shade that makes your fingers look long and lovely. Revlon polishes takes 2 coats to give an opaque coverage but once you wear it for about 5 days and remove; it leaves behind a yellow stain which looks hideous. I will write a detailed review on Revlon polishes in the future!
I love this shade! The perfect natural nude shade for office and other formal wear.

NOTD: Rimmel london 310 sunset orange

Hey “BD beauties”!

This post is going to be a quick NOTD. The nail polish I’m having on now is the rimmel London lasting nail polish pro in the shade 310 sunset orange which I would describe as the perfect coral! I love corals especially for the spring/summer time and this polish does the deal.
Although i love the shade, I’m not so impressed with the formulation of these nail polishes! They take a really long time to dry thus there is a high possibility of you messing it up. But once it dries, it looks really pretty.

NOTD: Ombred french tips with a blinged out accent nail

Hey “BD beauties”!

A quick NOTD for you all today and this is inspired by the ombre trend that all of must be aware about by now! This is a nail art which I named ombre French tips with a blinged out accent nail! I love the concept of having a blinged out accent tip it gives so much character to the nail art! I used a makeup sponge to get the ombre effect and the pink shade is a shade achieved by custom mixing nail polishes (which I love to do when I don’t have the shade I’m expecting) enjoy the pictures and i will be back with a review hopefully!

NOTD: Blinged out french manicure/ Bridal manicure

Hey “BD beauties”!

NOTD: Blinged out french manicure/ Bridal manicure

In today’s NOTD, I’m wearing a French manicure with a slight twist. I was inspired by a few nail art pictures to use my rhinestones that I had laying for some time now!

To achieve this, I started off with a normal French tip manicure and arranged the rhinestones on the line in-between the white tip and rest of the nail. I have used a big stone in between and arranged smaller ones on either side. I did this before the white tip dries as it helps to stick the stones rather than me having to use extra glue. However, if you want it to e more secure, I recommend using nail glue. I have topped the entire manicure with some clear nail polish just so it gives a lovely finish and acts as an extra protection to the Rhinestones.

NOTD: Newspaper nail art

Hey “BD beauties”!

I have been feeling extremely unwell lately and thus the lagging with the posts. But however, to put me back in the groove, I thought of doing a nail art! Nothing special or artistic but quite unique yet easy! It’s a newspaper nail art! I read about this ages ago and always wanted to try it but never got around to doing it until now!

NOTD: Newspaper nail art

What you need:
  • Newspaper cut into small squares
  • Rubbing alcohol or any old perfume
  • A nail polish shade (preferably a light shade)
  • A top coat
NOTD: Newspaper nail art

How to do it?

Apply the base colour and let it dry. Once dried, place a piece of newspaper over you nail and give a spray of perfume or using a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol, dab over the newspaper. Don’t dab too much as it may ruin your nail polish but for about 5 seconds would do. This makes sure the ink on the newspaper transfers onto your nail. Once done, finish off with top coat! Simple as that! Top coat just polishes everything together so don’t skip that.

NOTD: Red french tips with acrylic false tips

Hey “BD beauties”!

Just a quick NOTD is what this post is about! I tried acrylic false nails again ut this time wanted something simple. I do not own many nail polishes just because i don’t wear them often so I’m not the best skilled with nail polish applications as well! The shade I’m wearing today is constance carols nail polish in ‘Rouge’ you would have seen this in another NOTD which I’ll link HERE. Usually acrylic tips are used to have gel nails on but since i didn’t not have gel polishes and all those gadgets, I just the false tips like this J enjoy the pics..

P.S i have used a white nail polish below the red shade to make it pop :)

NOTD: Lady bird inspired french tips

Hey BD beauties!

Since you already know that I have false acrylic tips on, I have been more interested in doing simple nail art in them. So I just started with a simple polka dot design on my nail tips. I figured I go with the theme of lady birds having Constance carol rouge on the entire tips and colourworks 06 as dots. I recently purchased a dotting tool from tmart .com which i hauled HERE. I tried it out for the first time and pretty much liked it J Enjoy the pics everyone!

NOTD: Basic French manicure

Hello ladies!

I had purchased some false acrylic tips from tmart.com couple of months back and didnt feel like having it on  and just kept it away. Recently, i was cleaning out my beauty vanity and realised i had not used them yet and i also realised that i just got my other order from tmart that included a nail glue so this was the perfect time to wear it! If you have not seen my latest Haul post, you can read it HERE. The glue that cam with the false nails was completly dried out and useless so this glue was perfect.

I was in the mood for some french nails so i tried it on the false tips. i will definitely do a post on applying false tips later on but for not enjoy the pictures! :)

NOTD: Colourworks nail polish in 09

Hello everyone!

NOTD: Colourworks nail polish in 09

This is just going to be a simple NOTD post! I was just going through my drawer and came across this lovely shade of nail polish! It’s funny that I haven’t used it concerning what a lovely shade it was. If I had to describe it I would say that it’s a coppery brown with a lot of gold undertones. This is a shade that would suite Asian skin tones really well. As you can see I’m not perfect with my nail polish application and sure most people aren’t: D anyway this particular nail polish is from colourworks uk in the shade 09. ENJOY THE PICS J
