Hey “BD beauties”!
This is going to be a post about my experience with the
refreshing gel cleanser by clarisonic. The tube I received is a sample size
along with my clarisonic mia 2 that I purchased recently. I wasn’t particularly
interested in this cleanser but to my surprise it’s not bad at all. Read on to
know more. Im not too sure about the ingredients in it. If you are interested in getting the full size try at amazon, sephora or ebay.
What does clarisonic say about this product?
Best For Normal/Oily
Skin - A pH-balanced, gentle foaming gel cleanser to relieve and protect oily
and congested skin. Contains 1% willowbark extract, a natural antiseptic and
anti-inflammatory, and betahydroxy acid to promote cell turnover. Gently balances
and clarifies. Antioxidants green and white tea, grape seed extract, and CoQ10
soothe and protect while bearberry extract helps promote bright, even skin
tone. Provitamins B5 and B12 (a natural colorant) promote skin hydration.

My experience with this product
The immediate feature I noticed is the scent of this product
which I absolutely love! The scent is very fresh but very settle and not disturbing
it’s something I would love to spray on myself as a perfume! The consistency of
the cleanser is obviously a gel consistency as the description says and I believe
these types of cleansers are great for oily and acne prone skin. It might be
just too much for dried skin although they suggest it as for all skin types.
The product lathers up well enough to remove any excess dirt
and makeup and is great with a cleansing device like the clarisonic or even a
manual facial brush like this. It leaves the skin feeling really cleansed and a
little but tight so you might need a moisturiser to balance that off.
I have not tried this with a full face of makeup to see how
it acts a makeup remover but whatever cleanser you use, it’s vital that you
remove all makeup pre hand with a facial wipe or makeup removal wipe. I have
acne prone skin and I dint find this making me break out or give me any sort of
reaction. I also have more of a sensitive skin type and I didn’t have any issue
with that as well.
However, I do find that the full size tube costs close to about
$25 which I feel is just too over priced for what it actually does which is
nothing special. It’s a cleanser an acne prone skin type should go for one that’s
gentle and not for anything special especially if you’re under medication. If you’re
expecting something from what it claims then it’s a no go. Another problem is
that the brand clarisonic cannot be found everywhere unless you live in the USA.
I got my clarisonic mia 2 from eBay since I couldn’t find a single place
selling this brand around where I live.
What’s great about the clarisonic Refreshing Gel cleanser?
- It’s a gentle cleanser as the brand suggests perfect for those with severe acne
- It smells good
- Foams well
- Gives a clean feeling afterwards
What’s not so great about the clarisonic Refreshing Gel cleanser?
- Doesn’t do anything special
- Too over priced
- Clarisonic is a brand not easily available in stores other than in the USA
Overall Verdict
I do like how the product fairs but it’s just going to e
this sample. I do not find the need to order this online and pay shipping over
the already over priced product. It works just as good as my PONDS foaming facewash. I do not recommend this as a must have for anybody.
