Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in shade Lust Review, swatches, photos

Today’s review is going to be of the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in the shade lust I have also included swatches for clear description. There are tons of other shades which are famous from this line such as honey, cherish, smitten, charm, crush, lovesick etc. the Revlon kissable balm stains are by far rated as the best lip stain from the drugstore and I definitely see why. They are one of the brands who introduced the balm concepts and made it a trend for other brands to follow. Lip balm stains are the best long wearing lip products and perfect during hot summer days or days you want a low maintenance lip.

NOTE: Revlon has two versions of this concept. One which is the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain and the other version is called the Revlon just bitten lip stain + balm which are one I’m reviewing today.

My experience with this product

I was pretty eager to try the kissable balm stains but the one which actually looked like a felt pen really caught my eye. To be frank I sometimes think if this is actually a stationery product that Revlon labelled it as a lip stain because the scent and feel is very similar to a felt pen! The product by itself is awesome. It applies wet and set like your own lips. It’s very lightweight just as Revlon claims and is definitely non transferable.

The product gives a matte finish to the lips which in my preference is nice but if you love a glossy feel you wouldn’t be too impressed but you might like the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain which looks like a crayon. This product doesn’t compliment dry chapped lips because it’s a matte finish so it might accentuate the flaws on your lips. Scrub your lips well and moisturise them before application.

I have another celebrity FOTD post up for you today and today i was inspired by Jennifer Lopez!!! As we all know the famous “JLo glow” will always be a topic spoken in the makeup world, I figured let’s talk about a look she recently sported at Mohammad Ali’s celebrity fight night XIX. I would describe her overall look as a look close to the no makeup look but better! The highlight of this look are her lashes and the liner. Everything else is pretty much neutral. Let’s see how to achieve this look with what you have! :)

Face

According to my observations, I can figure that she hasn’t gone for her typical bronze glow. Instead she had a semi-dewy finish foundation as her face has slight traces of glow in the highest points of her face. It seems as though a liquid highlighter is used on top of her cheek bones preferably something like benefits high beam. As for blush, it looks like a peachy shade with brown undertones to it! She has also got some defined contouring going on although she has naturally contoured jaw lines. So if you have chubbier cheeks like myself, you might want to work on some serious contouring to achieve this ;)

Eyes

According to the looks of it, the shades on the eyes are very simple! She has a pink- champagne shade all over the lids and a light contouring with a brown shade on her crease. As i said earlier, the focus are the upper lash lines! I just love how the upper lash liner is defined with a dark liner but yet carefully smoked at the very edges and topped off with really full, whispy lashes. You can find a similar one from Ardell’s lashes or you can also get this by stacking two pairs of ardell’s demi whispies

As for the water line. She has a flesh toned eye liner on to open up her eyes from all what’s going on the upper lash line. The lower lash line is slightly line with a black eye shadow and topped off with mascara.

How to get rid of dark lips?

I was thinking about some sort on inspiration to write posts and i figured that I write about a few skin conditions that women in Asian face a lot! That’s pigmented lips. Pigmented lips are usually darker on the upper lip or darker on the edges of the lips. This can e annoying especially when you’re trying to apply lipstick and the dark lips to not show it true to colour! I will definitely do a lip makeup routine in the near future but before that i figured i give you a few tips and also DIY lip masks to try in the comfort of your homes!

Tips

• If you wear lipstick religiously almost every day, this is for you. Make sure you purchase your lipsticks from a trusted brand. Revlon has wonderful lipsticks, if you’re feeling fancy, invest in Mac! Always avoid those cheap unbranded lipsticks which have strong chemicals that are ad for your skin. It makes sense right? The cheaper the product, the lower quality materials they use to produce it! Also bear in mind the shelf life of the lipsticks, you should always toss away the expired ones as this would be adding fuel to make your lips even more pigmented!

• Try changing your habits! High intake of caffeine that’s tea and coffee, smoking also contribute to pigmented lips! Since these are habitual, the pigmentation cannot e removed quickly! Try changing these habits one by one; instead consume fresh fruit drinks etc.

Constance caroll lipstick in 'sexy pink' reveiw & swatches

Today’s review is going to be about constance caroll’s lipstick in the shade sexy pink. I found this lipstick in my local constance carol counter. It wasn’t definitely my type of colour as it’s a frosty finish and it’s a bright hot pink! However I found many other ways to use this.
