Hey “BD beauties”!

So this is going to be a Celebrity FOTD post since it’s been a very long time I did one and today I’m going to talk to you about the makeup Lana Del Rey was wearing for UCLA event on March 15^th. She went on a mix of casual and dressy with her sneakers and heavy accessories.  I think most of the props to her makeup looks go to her facial structure and she has really structured cheekbones, contoured nose etc. Tutorial on the makeup in the music video Young and beautiful.

Face

It seems as though she went for a light to medium coverage foundation or even a BB cream since I can still see her freckles through but she looks really natural. She has a touch of coral blush on, no highlighter and no contouring too.

Eyes

Most of the makeup is done on the eyes which are also pretty much neutral which the accent on the eyeliner. She seems to have some champagne eye shadow all over her lids, a matte brow bone highlight and pencil eyeliner on the upper lid. I feel like she has skipped falsies for this look but you can definitely try this look wit natural looking ones with an invisible band.

As you are all aware of the Cannes festival and probably intrigues by all the appearances, I came across Cheryl cole’s picture at the red carpet. She looked extremely fabulous with her maroon gown and her amazing hairstyle. Her makeup really intrigued me; her makeup went with purple hues which complimented extremely well with the outfit.

Analysing the pictures really well, I have broken down her makeup below.

First of all sorry for not being active on my blog yesterday it just wasn’t a good day but anyhow I’m back with a celebrity FOTD post! I had this picture in my computer for some time now and I totally forgot about it. Its zarine khan at the mtv music awards 2013. I loved her eye makeup to begin with! It went really well with her outfit and i was totally determined to explain her makeup breakdown.

 Face

As for her foundation base, it seems pretty normal so in order to achieve this look, any foundation of yours would do. She doesn’t have any sort of heavy contouring but does have a little bit of bronzing done to perk up the skin! As for blush, she has a peachy pink shade with a satin finish does giving a glow to the cheeks apart from the highlight she has used. I feel as though she has used a liquid based highlighter as it seems dewy but what do you girls think?

Today’s post is going to be another celebrity FOTD! You can read my previous post in this segment HERE. I recently came across this picture of kareena kapoor at the NDTV Indian of the year awards. I loved her simple makeup look and her traditional avatar!

Let’s see the breakdown of her makeup!

Face

Her foundation doesn’t seem to have a dewy finish instead a matte finish with her cheekbones highlighted well. A product like MAC’s soft and gentle would do the trick. Her blush shade is a peachy pink one and something similar would be jordana powder brush in coral sandy beach REVIEWHERE.

As for contouring, I do not see any except for a slight it on her nose area.

Eyes

Her eyes go pretty much on a neutral vie with nothing special but somehow being able to make it look put together. The eye look is similar to a tutorial i have done HERE. As for eye liner, there is no liquid liner used. Instead kohl is smudged and slightly flicked in the ends. Same applies for her lower lash line! You can see how to smudge kohl on the upper lash line in this tutorial HERE. It clearly looks as though she has skipped falsies and opted to sport her natural lashes.

I have another celebrity FOTD post up for you today and today i was inspired by Jennifer Lopez!!! As we all know the famous “JLo glow” will always be a topic spoken in the makeup world, I figured let’s talk about a look she recently sported at Mohammad Ali’s celebrity fight night XIX. I would describe her overall look as a look close to the no makeup look but better! The highlight of this look are her lashes and the liner. Everything else is pretty much neutral. Let’s see how to achieve this look with what you have! :)

Face

According to my observations, I can figure that she hasn’t gone for her typical bronze glow. Instead she had a semi-dewy finish foundation as her face has slight traces of glow in the highest points of her face. It seems as though a liquid highlighter is used on top of her cheek bones preferably something like benefits high beam. As for blush, it looks like a peachy shade with brown undertones to it! She has also got some defined contouring going on although she has naturally contoured jaw lines. So if you have chubbier cheeks like myself, you might want to work on some serious contouring to achieve this ;)

Eyes

According to the looks of it, the shades on the eyes are very simple! She has a pink- champagne shade all over the lids and a light contouring with a brown shade on her crease. As i said earlier, the focus are the upper lash lines! I just love how the upper lash liner is defined with a dark liner but yet carefully smoked at the very edges and topped off with really full, whispy lashes. You can find a similar one from Ardell’s lashes or you can also get this by stacking two pairs of ardell’s demi whispies

As for the water line. She has a flesh toned eye liner on to open up her eyes from all what’s going on the upper lash line. The lower lash line is slightly line with a black eye shadow and topped off with mascara.

I feel like it’s been ages since i did a Celebrity FOTD as so todays one is about the look that bipasha basu had on during promotions of her latest film AATMA. I personally don’t like when bipasha goes all traditional but this look was commendable!

Face

Start off with a clean slate and use a matte finish foundation. A matte finish is usually catered towards oily skin girls so if you have dry skin, go with the one that suits you well. On her cheeks she has a pretty rosy glow which can e achieved with a dusty rose blush. Bipashas face is already contoured naturally so maybe that’s the reason there isn’t any contouring done. There isn’t any harsh highlighting as well.

It’s time for another celebrity FOTD! I usually write these posts when I’m inspired with a picture. You can read my previous celerity FOTD’s HERE. I recently came across this picture of parneeti chopra wearing this lovely orange outfit. I believe it was for a charity fashion show with indian designer manish malhotra! Since the lakme fashion week is one, I’m getting extra interested with Indian designers so that’s how this picture got me inspired.

Now let me quit the blabbing and get to the point. Im sorry about the intro but yet, I don’t think my readers would mind it. Right? Parneeti’s makeup went quite in line with the Indian clothing she wore. There is nothing bright obviously as the focus was on the clothing that evening. However the eyes were standing out pretty well. She seems to have a soft Smokey eye with dramatic lashes and her lower lashline lined and smudged with kohl.

One of my favourite actors in this era in bollywood is sonakshi sinha and what’s most inspiring about her is her weight loss! Anyhow this post isn’t about her weight loss but about the makeup she had on for this particular event. Looks like she has gone natural for this look and it surely does compliment her well. She has just a hint of warm brown all over her lids and crease and looks like she hasn’t used fake lashes as well instead coated her natural lashes will mascara. The one thing i love about this particular look is the lipstick she has used. It looks like a rosy nude and looks really natural. In her overall look, I see the most amount of colour on her cheeks which is way better than if she had opted for an earthy toned blush.

This is yet another celebrity FOTD and its Anushka Sharma today! If you ladies didn’t know, nivea recently celebrated their 100 years anniversary of the brand and anushka being the Indian brand ambassador, was present for a press meet with this gorgeous blue flowy dress. Obviously the topic is makeup so let’s look over what she had on. The overall look was an easy going natural look with orange eye shadow on her lids and the attention given to her upper and lower lashes in the most subtle yet giving a fresh touch. She seems to have false lashes on but since there is not much eyeliner, I believe she has a pair with an invisible and thus making it trick you as though they are natural!

This post is going to be a celebrity FOTD of sonam kapoor at the Cannes 2012! I had previously done a segment of Aishwariya rai which you can check HERE. The reason why i chose sonam for this segment is because of how well she sported the red lip! Although I’m not a fan of her face makeup. Well her base looks flawless but her under eye concealer is just too light! Its way too many shades lighter that it over powers the rest of her face. Also her blush is just a wrong selection! She shouldn’t have gone with a baby pink blush as it obviously looks too much with the red lip. A coral shade would compliment the look extremely well! J

Today’s celerity FOTD is Rihanna at the 2013 Grammy awards! Personally i felt that her makeup was the best looking. Her look comprised of the bold matte red lip colour paired on with subtle earthy toned eyes which are defined ever so slightly. Its pretty important that when you sport a bright old lip colour especially a classic red, its vital that the eyes are matched with subtle browns and her look has achieved that to perfection!

Talking more about her eyes, her slightly smudged waterline and carefully drawn liquid liner with a flick, contributes to a soft but sexy cat which adds even more glam to the right lip! Her face seems flawless and blushes very natural. There doesn’t seem to be any traces of contouring nevertheless the look is timeless and quite classic!
