hi guys,
Jordana blush powder in the shade 'coral sandy beach' |
This is going to be a review of jordana's powder blush. i have it in the shade coral sandy beach no.38 which is a coral shade just as the name tells and it has slight golden shimmer in it.
My experience with it
i got to know this product through a YouTube video. I’am an avid fan of
YouTube videos and it’s been a way of continuous learning for me. One of the
YouTube guru’s was talking about how this particular blush doesn’t cause
fallouts and i wanted to try it right away. Powdery products in my opinion are
the worst to work with so this was a deal for me. I found it couple of weeks
later at one of my local beauty stores and was very excited!
I’am a medium skin toned, south Asian woman with warm under tones.
Personally, i prefer peachy blushes on me and i think many of you may agree
with me. I being a freelance makeup artist have been working with people who
are mostly having warm undertones and experimenting with different shades rings
me to the conclusion that peachy shades are best for them.
Also being a makeup artist, its essential that i use good quality
products with a decent amount of staying power. Jordana is a brand that has
catered to my need and their blushes are just perfect in my opinion.
This blush has an easy to work with formula and consistency is amazing!
The velvet like texture is perfect for blending out without causing patches of
uneven application. It also avoids powdery mess that chalky products cause.
Also since this shade has golden shimmer in it many of you might be thinking if
it is for you. I have to tell that the shimmer is so small and diffused that
you can barely tell it contributes to giving you a glow on the cheeks rather
than having chunks of glitter which we all know aren’t pretty :)
Another thing I have to tell is how the blush reacted on me! I have acne
prone skin and I usually get oily in my T zone. I have been using this blush
for about 6 months now and I’ve never had any negative reaction or breakouts.
Colour selection and where to get them
The colour selection is also huge according to jordana’s website, there are 17 shades available! Their
shades ranges from pinks, browns and peaches and also matte and shimmery
blushes. They could be found in most shops that sell drugstore makeup. And a
lot of websites online ranging between $2.50 to $3.

Application method
I usually apply this with an angled blush brush which is not synthetic.
For even application, pick colour and tap of access and apply it right above
the hollows of your cheekbones closer to your apples and blend backwards
towards your hairline. You could also dust what’s remaining in your brush on
the tip of your nose and chin to give a natural glow.
Summary of my take on it
PRO'S
- It has a smooth velvet finish which ads to the blendability of the blush
- Its not powdery what so ever and thus doesnt use much product and doesnt cause a mess.
- Its pretty pigmented for its price which is always a plus in makeup ;)
- the price in unbeatable.
- staying power upto 6 hrs (which is awesome for a drugstore brand)

CON'S
- The pakaging is slightly tacky having a screw on lid which might me annoying at times i would have prefered
CONCLUSION
I would definitely consider purchasing more shades concerning the price and value you get for the product! what sold me personally is the pigmentation and the statying power of the blush and the fact that it isnt powdery :)
