Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lip Cover Lipstick in shade Purty Persimmon 970 Review, Swatches and Photos

How are you all doing today? Today I’m reviewing a lovely
warm tone red from the wet n wild matte lip cover line in the shade ‘Purty
persimmon’. Recently I was in a hunt for a good orange red shade to compliment
my warm yellow undertones and I’m pretty much impressed with what I have found.

What does wet n wild say about this product?
Lips take center
stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in
one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake,

My experience with this product
I previously tried one shade from this lipstick line in the
shade Rose Bud and I fell in love with the texture, pigmentation etc that’s the
only reason why I wanted to try more from this line. See my swatch post of all
the shades I own HERE. The lipstick comes in a plastic packaging which I have no
issues with other than the fact that the bullet doesn’t twist down completely! I
have accidently dented almost all my tube from this issue.
The pigmentation is extremely opaque and covers well within
one swipe. I do however feel like the texture is a little on the dryer side
especially it being matte lipsticks but I can manage it with a coat of lip balm.
The scent on these lipstick is almost nothing to be honest you might not even
feel anything at all.
I find that this lipstick last on my lips for about 5 hours
with the pigmentation and after that they begin to fade out. Even when they
fade out it seems that they stain my lips so there is never that moment where I
have patchy lips throughout a long day!
The shade purty persimmon is a lovely bright orange warm red
which complements girls with yellow undertones really well. I sometimes feel
like the shade is almost an orange rather than a red because of its prominent
warm undertones.

- Perfect warm toned red for medium skin tones (Mac NC42)
- Long lasting pigmentation
- Color doesn’t feather off
- Simple packaging
What’s not so great about the wet n wild Matte lip cover in shade Purty Persimmon?
- Bullet doesn’t close up fully.
Overall Verdict
This is my favourite warm red so far. I love matte formulas
and this does the trick for me. You might want to stay away from the matte
cover line if you have really dried lips.
