Beauty DIY: How to make a lip stain at home

Hey “BD beauties”!

Hope all of you are doing really well and also hope that all of you have joined my giveaway HERE which ends on 19th of august!

So today’s post is all about fun beauty DIY. It’s always great to have homemade solutions for your beauty requirements especially in your budget. You can make lip glosses to beauty treatments to random thing you never even would think about! All you need to do is research online. So today’s DIY is one that I love the most out of all I have known so far. It’s a DIY of a lip stain! We all know how well the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stains did in the beauty industry and the obvious reason is because the stain actually stained the lips and stayed on the lips for a long time!

What you need for this DIY
  • 4 black berries
  • 2 raspberries
  • ½ teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • Small bowl to make the stain
  • Shifter to drain
  • Small acrylic pot to store
  • Few drops of lemon (to make the DIY stay longer without getting spoilt)

How to do this?

Step 1 mash up your berries with a spoon in the bowl. If you want them extremely pureed mash them up in a food processor.

Step 2 use the sifter and drain away the liquid from the particles

Step 3 mix in the olive oil with the liquid. You can also use the coconut oil if you do not like the scent of olive oil.

Step 4 pour the mixture into the tiny jar and put in a few drops of lemon juice to preserve the liquid.

How to apply?

Use a Q tip or just your fingers to apply. I find that the most pigmentation comes from blackberries but you can use other berries like cherries or even vegetable like beets to alternate your shades. It’s so versatile that you can use it as a cheek stain too! But I recommend the oil if that’s the case.
You can get full on colour or a just bitten effect like how snow white has. Have fun with it girls!
