Hey “BD beauties”!
In today’s post I’m going to review the website asos(dot)com. I’m pretty sure asos doesn’t need
an introduction in terms of fashion pieces but one thing some might not know is
that they carry beauty products as well! Since Asos is a UK based company, you
can find Uk brands at a good price here. They carry brands like NARS, GHD,
Clarisonic, ILLAMASQUA, Korres, OPI, Stila, and so much more! I love how
organized their website is and navigation is easy. But what really is the deal
in shopping on Asos is that they provide free worldwide shipping! Of course you
have the option of getting your order shipped faster using express shipping
options but that would cost you.
The items I picked up came in great condition without any
damage whatsoever. Express shipping took 4 days (including weekends) to get to
srilanka so if your living closer to the UK, your order would reach you faster.
However, Asos do have regional warehouses so that you get your order the
fastest time possible!
Now that I have given you an introduction, let me tell you
about the items I picked up!
1 Benefit Pore Fessional (Pro Balm To Minimise Pores) 22ml (£
25.50)
This product needs no introduction! This is one of the best
selling face primers in the market that effectively minimizes pores and creates
a smooth canvas for your foundation, I didn’t try it on full face yet, but
trying it on my problem areas, I can say that it works great. I love the
texture of the product as well which is more of velvet like formulation.
2 NARS Brush No13: Large Dome Eye brush (£32.50)
This is my first ever brush from NARS and i was very satisfied
with this! The product is great quality and you can definitely feel it when you
hold the brush, the hairs are great quality too and have not shed at all. However,
I find the handle to be a tad too long but nothing crazy. It lends the harsh
lines effortlessly. A great must have for a makeup enthusiast.
3 Stila in the Garden Eye Shadow Palette (£25.00)
Stila is a brand which can be quite expensive most of the
times until you manage to find a deal. But this product being limited edition,
it might be hard. I find the price for this product here rather reasonable
compared to other sites. The pigmentation and formulation of these shades are
lovely. I love the smudge stick that comes with the palette too! It really does
keep up to the claim of being waterproof.
4 Benefit Finding Mr Bright (£28.50)
This is one of those kits from benefit with sample size
products. This includes 4 products from benefits which I wanted to try the most
but didn’t want to get the full size right away. This definitely is a great
product to purchase if you’re not sure about what you want. You have some good
amount of product in them too.
5 NARS Love Thrill Gift Set
The entire reason why I selected this is because it had two products
I wanted the most, the velvet lip pencil and NARS blush in super orgasm. It’s more
of a value bundle with which there is a lipstick offered too! If you’re new to
NARS, I would recommend you try this in order to get a gist of this brand.
6 NARS Highlighting Blush Powder In shade Albatross (£21.50)
This is a product i have been waiting to get my hands on for
ages! I recently reviewed the dupe for this which is Elf’s blush in the shade
gotta glow, in the review i told how the con of the blush were the chunky
shimmers. The NARS one luckily has no chunky shimmers and is finely mild thus
makes a perfect highlighter!
Although I did review these product in this post, I will definitely
write more comprehensive reviews in order to make it easier for our purchasing
decisions.
