Hey “BD beauties”!
I recently reviewed the Clinique all on one colour palette and a sample size of the Clinique high impact mascara was provided. As most of you beauty enthusiasts may know, this mascara had a huge vibe going on when it were released so I thought it needed a review post of its own.
Full size costs $16 on cliniques online store
What does Clinique say about this mascara?
Kicks up the volume and length of each and every lash for a look that's lusher, plusher, bolder. Pure, deep colour only adds to the impact. Wear it once and you'll feel naked without it. Ophthalmologist Tested.
My experience with this product
This was my first high end mascara so as usual was very much excited to try how this works. The first thing I noticed was that the wand was a pretty standard wand which we see a lot in the market both by drugstore brands and high end so I assumed it’s the formula that special and it sure was.
The formulation is the right consistency that it doesn’t clump up whatsoever. The mascara doesn’t flake as well creating a mess under your eyes. I find this mascara separating my lashes well and also lengthening well. It does volumize my lashes too but i stop at 2 coats in order to avoid thick ugly lash build up.
Although the product size was a sample size, I find that its lasting quite a while as mascara need to be disposed after 3 or 4 months, i find this very useful!
Most of the mascara does come off with water but a little bit of oil or makeup remover is needed to remove it off fully although it’s not waterproof.
What’s great about this product?
- Does lengthen and volumize
- Doesn’t clump
- Doesn’t flake
- Basic bristles
What’s not so great about this product?
- Isn’t waterproof
- Kind of pricey
I love this mascara! I will definitely consider purchasing the full size once it’s over as it doesn’t exactly what I want for my short lashes. Its great for lower lashes too since it separates well, two coats in the lower lash line can give you a doll like look. This mascara is rich black and works well for any type of lashes. I highly recommend this!
