Tutorial: Retro eye look inspired by Adele

Hey “BD beauties”!

Which of you think that Adele’s makeup looks are to die for? Although all her looks go along with the retro vibe, I still cannot get over how perfect they are. I personally voted her look as the best one in the recent Oscars which you can read HERE. Today’s eye tutorial is how to achieve that retro look. The shadows of this look are what you would use in a natural eye look with the twist being the winged liner! Read HERE to learn how to achieve a perfect wing.

I would pair this look with a classic red lip but, since I’m a girl with warm undertones and in the medium skin tone category, the reds that Adele sport is never flattering. Instead, i go for more orange-y reds that’s basically reds with warm undertones.
This is a super simple look not much required as well!

Step 1
Prime your eye lids to make sure they stay in place until you decide to remove your makeup. im using elf’s eyelid primer in the skin tone shade.

Step 2
Sweep a shimmery champagne shade all over the lids with a flat eye shadow brush.

Step 3
Blend in a medium shade of brown with red undertones in the crease to create a transition, the reason why I’m using one with red undertones is because have warm undertones.

Step 4
Using a small liner brush, apply the same shimmery champagne shade in the inner corners. This is to open the eyes.

Step 5
Draw a winged liner and flick it at the ends. Read how to create a perfect winged liner HERE

Step 6
Apply 2 coats of mascara on the upper and lower lash line and apply false lashes. I have used spiky lashes here. You can use any pair that are full and dramatic.

I can imagine this look being perfect for a special date night or any other special event in the night time. This is a timeless eye look so don’t be afraid to rock this!
