My experience with the product

Couple of months ago, I had terrible damaged hair due to hot tools, sun damage etc. I was always in the hunt for a product that would work. I was having an eye on the macademia line but that’s just too expensive to keep purchasing so i was inclined towards cheaper product that was available in my local drugstore.

Texture:  the texture and feel is very comparable to most of the conditioners in the market. It’s pretty thick; therefore you need to massage the product well in order to penetrate your hair.
Usage: the product is kind of hard to deal with. Just as it takes time to penetrate in, it also takes time to wash off. The formula is also a little bit waxier than I would like thus making my hair get oily a day after the wash which definitely sucks.

Scent: I believe the scent is a mixture of floral and fruity which is Very similar to other sunsilk products. The scent does stay on for at least a day which many like me might like.

Does it treat damaged hair? NO, it doesn’t do what it claims which is the total point of buying this product right? I have used this product at least for a month and half and I didn’t see any change in my damaged hair. If you’re looking for an effective deep conditioning mask for damaged hair, try the dove mask (REVIEW HERE). This is the only product i give credits for treating my hair well.
I believe that this line also has a deep conditioning mask and a leave on conditioner but according to the reviews i have read, they do not live up to the claims as well.

HOW I USE THIS PRODUCT: I apply conditioners to the bottom half of my hair only and that’s how you should e as the bottom half is your old hair that needs all the protein. I apply the conditioner after washing off my shampoo and blotting my hair until its just a little damp. I leave the product for 5 minutes and wash it off really well until all the product is washed off

What’s great about this product?
  • Smells good and does linger for a while
  • Good quantity for such a cheap price

What’s not so great?
  • Texture is too waxy and takes time to wash off
  • Doesn’t repair damaged hair as it claims
  • The entire line is a failure

Overall verdict

If you are one of me and tried a lot of hair care products to treat damaged hair with concerns like split ends, hair fall, hair thinning, do not try this, I would recommended dove products over sunsilk as they are pretty much the same price range but has products that actually works!
