Hey “BD beauties”!
Today I’m going to review the infamous L’Oreal elnett satin
hairspray! I finally got to try it; thanks to my cousin J this is one of the long lived
products in the beauty industry and has kept up to the competition from the
many other brands! I would rate this a 9/10 with the 1 rating going off for a
feature of this hairspray which I guess most beauty addicts would have known by
now! Read on to know my take on this product!
The strength of this particular one is ‘supreme hold’ and
has 200 ml of product.

What does L’Oreal says about this product?
Elnett Satin is the legendary hairspray of choice for red
carpet events and cover photo shoots. Its micro diffuser spray offers a clean,
soft shiny finish. So fine, it disappears at the stroke of a brush. So strong
its hold lasts all day.

My experience with this product
Before trying the product, I had high expectations and hope
because of all the fame it had and how it’s been a favourite for many woman. But
I having a strong nose for smell quickly grasped the scent as I sprayed it in
my hair. The smell was HORIBBLE! Although i did read about the scent and how
sick it was, it didn’t pop onto my head until I smelled it myself. It has a
very chemical like scent and kind of made me think if it’s really a good
product. But the answer was yet to come. After having my hair curled, I sprayed
it onto my hair about and arms length away and it diffused the spray with the
lightest mist.
It’s very rare that you get a hair spray with a good spray nozzle
which sprays very lightly rather than concentrating to one area.
Staying power: just like how L’Oreal claims, it doesn’t disappear
until you brush your hair through. I love this particular feature of hair spray
for a hairstyle that has my hair down where my hair is flexible rather than
looking and feeling like a stick.
Ease to remove: if I feel like I have gone wrong with my
hairstyle, it doesn’t take long to change it, I do not have to spend hours
trying to break through the hair spray. And if I want to wash off my hair from
the product, it comes off simple rather than causing build up.
Other benefits: I found that the hair gave a lovely shine as
well once sprayed with this hair spray so basically it was a 2 in 1 deal for me
that i do not have to use shine spray and make my hair heavy!
I found teasing is also become easier as teasing already
makes your hair tangled and with a hair spray unlike L’Oreal elnett, it would
damage my hair without any doubt!
However, this product cannot be found everywhere in Asia. It’s
a product of great demand in the Europe and USA but less likely to find in Asia.
Especially in countries like srilanka or india where it would be much more
expensive if found.

Overall verdict
Highly recommended product! L’Oreal has recently released an
unscented version which would make my rating 10/10 so if you’re looking forward
to purchasing it, you should try that out. This is great for professional use as
well! Have any of you tried this?
