Review: Nanshy set of 5 makeup brushes

Hey “BD beauties”!

Hope all of are having a great week! I have been trying out a few brushes from the brand Nanshy the past two weeks and I loved the experience so far thus want to share them with you! These brushes i feel are dupes to the sigma kabuki set which are of course great quality and costs a lot.

The Nanshy brush set of 5 cost £34.95 HERE

The beautystore4u is a makeup store stocking up brands like BH cosmetics, Coastal scents, sigma, nanshy and many more.

What does Nanshy say about these brushes?
  • Soft, Dense Antibacterial Bristles
  • Vegan, 100% Cruelty Free Brushes
  • White, Thick Handle
  • Easy Application, Less Product Waste
  • Foundation, Concealer, Cream and Powder Application
  • Achieve Flawless Finish
My experience with this product

The set consists of 5 core brushes to achieve a perfect flawless face. Of course you need not buy them as a set instead there are options to purchase them individually. The brushes are great quality which you will understand yourself when you start using it. The handle, barrel and bristles are bonded really sturdy thus avoiding excess shedding of bristles and damaging handles.

The bristles are really soft and cut well in order to have even application. I did a little research about the sigma brushes and i have to say those are very similar except you pay more. For a person just starting to build their brush collection, this works well.

The flat top brush: this is similar to the sigma F80 and I have to say it has to be a staple in every girls brush collection. This is used to stipple and buff in liquid or cream foundations. If you like this set of brushes and want to try one, this is the one you should get.

The round brush: this is used to apply powder foundation but personally i love to use it with stick or cream foundations. This in my opinion is the stiffest off all the 5 and thus helps apply cream the best.

The angled brush: this is great for applying cream blushes.

The pointed brush: I have wanted to get a brush of this nature since i loved contouring and highlighting. If you love heavy contouring, you need to have this! This helps reach the places you need to contour without a hassle. Its also great for under eye concealing and correcting.

The flat angled brush: this is for foundation application too. but best used for areas that are hard to reach such as the contours of the nose, under the eyes etc.

What’s great about these brushes?
  • Great overall quality
  • Doesn’t shed
  • Comfortable to hold

What’s not so great?
  • Pricey

Overall verdict

This is a full on kit for foundation application. A great one to invest in if you love doing full coverage makeup on yourself or on others. MUA’s this is perfect for you too to do your clients makeup. the flat top brush is my personal favourite and one which i recommend you all getting if you’re having an eye on these brushes.
