Review and swatches: Elf studio brow kit in Dark

Hope your week is going great so far! Today I’m going to review my current brow product which is the elf brow kit in dark. This has definitely replaced my other brow products and have been loving it! Elf is a brand that has shown some great products and this is definitely one of those products.

 What does elf say about this product?

Create brows that are fuller, thicker, and more defined! The pigmented wax defines and shapes brows and the color complementing setting powder keeps them looking arched and perfected. The doubled sided taklon brush has one side to help arch your brows while the other side aids in filling them in. This duo provides lasting color definition for a naturally beautiful look.

My experience with this product

I’m a huge fan of elf products so this particular product was really exciting to try. The brow kit is raved by many beauty bloggers and it sure does work great. The wax in this kit is really great to control unruly hairs as well as provide pigment. The wax doesn’t wear away too quickly as well! to compliment the wax, the powder works perfect alongside. Initially i thought the powder would be too light for my brows but it actually gives the right amount of colour on top of the wax and is also a perfect shade to fill in the beginning of the brow wear your hairs are naturally less.

The dual ended brush is angled on one side and is fluffy on the other. I find that the angled side works really well but the fluffy brush which i believe is for the powder is too fluffy. If you’re in a hurry the tool would work flimsy as it can slip out of your hands easily concerning how tiny the handle is.

The only thing I wish is that elf had a shade called extra dark which would e perfect for lack haired girls like me but overall I cannot complain. I love the elf studio packaging they remind me so much of the NARS one except they are less prone to getting dirty. They shut close with a snap and also have a handy little mirror which makes this product travel friendly!

What’s not so great?

• The shades could have been a slight it more darker for lack haired girls

Overall verdict

I have nothing to regret about this product. If you are not used to filling your brows, this is a perfect kit to start with and also great for travel. It’s available in 4 different shades so you can choose your best fit.
