Hey “BD beauties”!
In today’s post, I’m going to tell
you my personal lip makeup routine! As much as I love to wear lipstick, it’s
also a real pain to keep them on as you cannot eat or drink and if you do, you
need a touch up. In this routine, I’m going to show how to lock in the lipstick
for as long as possible and this would stay on for at least 3 hours!
How to make lipstick last longer! My lip makeup routine |
Step 1
Exfoliate! Exfoliation is vital
for your lips just as much for your body. Even if you do not see dried lips,
using a gentle exfoliant is pretty important. I usually just make my own with
sugar and honey. This is to make sure your lip colour doesn’t settle into fine
lines or look ugly with all the dried skin being visible.
Step 2
Step 2
Step 3
Apply a concealer all over your
lips as a base. The reason why i do this is to make sure the lipstick appears
true to colour and also last long. I have realised that this is the most
important step in this routine and this helps the most.
Step 4
Apply your desired lip liner and
top it off with the lip colour! Avoid using the lipstick off of the tube as it doesn’t
cover evenly in between the lines of your lines. Use a good lip brush.
Step 5
Blot the first layer of lipstick
with a tissue and apply face powder over it lightly. This step is to absorb
excess moisture and seal in the colour.
Step 6
Apply another coat of lipstick and
top it off with gloss!
That’s it girls. I have tried this
technique on myself and on many others and found that it an effective way to
increase the longevity of the lip colour on your lips. Hope you all try it!

true :P its a product that never finishes!
DeleteCool - thanks for the tips. I also have found that certain lipsticks just last better than others and vary brand to brand and shade to shade. It's a trial and error.
