Hey “BD beauties”!

Wanted to do a review but something different today. I have a good amount of perfumes in my collection and I thought why not review my favourite one. Its dolce & Gabbana 3 L’Impératrice which is part of D&G’s anthology collection along with 4 other perfumes.

This was a gift to me from my brother but if you were to buy it, it would cost $69 for 3.3 oz

What Dolce & gabbana tells about this fragrance

3 L'Imperatrice is a confident, charismatic, boundary-shattering blend with a top of rhubarb, kiwi accord, and red currant; a heart of pink cyclamen, watermelon, and jasmine; and a base of musk, sandalwood, and grapefruit wood. The impression channels a successful, compelling character that is neither male, nor female, nor unisex, moving with dynamism to the free, edgy style that marks the D&G fashion empire.

This anthology collection was promoted with Naomi campbell and was released in the market in September 2009.

Its top notes are pink pepper, kiwi and rhubarb

Its middle notes are watermelon, cyclamen and jasmine

Its base notes are lemon tree, sandalwood and musk

Well frankly what i can smell from this scent is the kiwi, watermelon and weird enough, i smell grapefruit! Nevertheless, D&G marketed this as a floral-fruity fragrance which is fresh and subtle.

My experience with this

This was one of the fragrances I initially got in my collection and obviously was excited because of the brand. When I smelt fruity goodness, I fell in love! I’m a person who HATES floral perfumes they just cause headaches for me. I also am not a fan of harsh perfumes that just screw your nose when you stand next to a person. So this worked well. The strength of this scent stands right where i love it.

Longevity: this scent does wear off after 4 hours or so which is obviously common with eau de toilette’s and this is no exception. However i do carry a little sample size just in case I want to touch up

Although this particular perfume is classified as a unisex scent, I wouldn’t bee too impressed with a guy smelling like this as its more towards the feminine side but yet not too girly.

I would recommend this scent for daily use, its more young than mature so this is more suitable to late teens. This perfume is great for office workers, college students and so on.

• Isn’t too harsh
• Good price for amount

Overall verdict

Love this! This is my favourite and will be until i find something better. Like I told earlier, try it for daily casual use.
